The purpose of this study is to investigate the possible relationship between solar activities and earth seismic activities. All earthquake and solar activities such as SN, CI, KP and AP data have been selected for China zone from 1976 to 2012. The result shows: 1-The number of earthquakes increase, while the solar activities decrease for solar cycles 21, 22, 23 and middle of cycle 24. 2-During minimum number of sunspot activities, the number of small earthquakes (M<4) is more than the number of large earthquakes (M≥4). 3-During maximum number of sunspot activities, the number of small earthquakes (M<4) is smaller than number of large earthquake (M≥4). 4-The total number of earthquakes during minimum number of sunspot activities (for cycles 21 till middle of 24) is three times greater than the total number of earthquake for maximum number of sunspot activities.
In this paper, considering the LIBOR rate i.e. the average short-term interest rate that is given by BBA as a suitable index for the free-risk interest rate, at first it is tried to present a model for the probability of excess profit on the LIBOR rate in the Forex market. This model is based on probability theory and in the main section of the paper, based on the related statistical data of the EUR/USD and the GBP/USD currencies pair in one period in 2025 (July to November), experimental probability of obtaining excess profit on the LIBOR rate is calculated for investors that use different leveraged credit levels. Based on this study, if it exists high leveraged credit, the probability of obtaining excess profit on the LIBOR rate in the Forex market despite of accepting risk of the exchange rate is slight.
The risk of uncontrolled escape of firedamp is one of the major manifestations of closing coal mines in the Ostrava – Karvina District in the Czech Republic. Mining activity was also carried out in areas close to urban or suburban development in the city of Ostrava, including its historical district. The article presents aspects of dealing with the hazards as well as measures that have been implemented with respect to the risk of uncontrolled escape of firedamp. It outlines some of the applied approaches and equipment, which can eliminate this hazard. The figures included in the article document the current state of the solution.
Development of ovary and oocyte along with male gonad testis of the freshwater fishes was observed .When rearing 51 day-old Cyprinius carpio at elevated sub-lethal temperatures to (control), 28 and 34°C (experimental) was exposed no death was observed, but the ovarian dimensions differed significantly (F=5.25cm, DF=3, P < 0.05) as manually measured by image software of contrast phage microscope between the 27°C and 30°C and between 32°C treatments. Observation indicated that numbers of germ cells per ovarian cross-section seemed to be more numerous and dense in 27°C treatment than in either the germ >30°C or 32°C treatments were less dense. Testicular cross-section areas were significantly (T=5.11cm, DF=3, P>0.05), different among all groups at the conclusion of the temperature treatments at 27 °C and 30 °C
In this study, relationship between unemployment and economic growth in Turkey was investigated. The study, which was carried out in the period 1988-2012, was evaluated. In order to explain relationship between unemployment and economic growth, Vector Autoregressive Model, Jhonsen Cointegration Analysis and Granger Causality/Block Exogeneity Test were used. As a result, a relationship between unemployment and GDP in Turkey was determined as foresee of Okun’s Law and direction of relationship can periodically vary. Affected employment of economic growth is known to be linked to certain conditions. According to this situation economic growth must be explained and unemployment cannot be prevented with a high growth rate which case should be considered. That balanced of nature unemployment rate with optimal growth rate can be evaluated as rational foresight.
