Water is the most abudent compound on the earth. More than 70% of earth surface is covered with simple molecule. Scientist estimated that hydrosphere contain about 1.36 billon cubic kilometers of this substance mostly in form of liquid water occupies toporaphic dimension on the earth. The second most common form of water molecule on our planet is ice. Water in addition to main industrial solvents is very essential for human beings. Water obtained from different sources is polluted due to the presence of various impurities are pollutant therefore, it is very important to know above the various type of impurities present in it before it is put to any specific use. The present study is under taken to evaluate the water qualities of different location of kampoo areas, Gwalior. The selected location are (a) Channa kothar (b) Jawahar colony (c) Nehru park (d) Idgah. Ecological paremeters like colour, odour, Electrical conductivity (EC), Dissolve oxygen (DO), PH, Free CO2 Total alkanity, Hardness, Chloride, Biological oxygen demand (BOD) Chemical oxygen demand (COD) were detected according to WHO, BIS and APHA, permissible limit for drinking water. Total alkalinity of Idgah shows the highest values as 185 as compared to other location conductivity of all the water samples within permissible limit conductvity of the water can decide the suitability of water for human consumption and other uses total desoloved solids of Channa kothar shows the highest values as 196 as compair to other sample. Hardness and PH all the water samples are found within the permissible limit acceptable range of alkalinity as per guide lines suggested, beyond this limit taste becomes unplesant chloride content were found as maximum in two location collect the water for some time deposite the white layer of container. It is concluded after evaluting the data of the study concluded that the one water sample Idgah of kampoo detriorated. Water is not completable drinkable. It is suggested that we should treat the water before drinking.
